The AWPR: road restriction reminders to keep you on the move

The new Aberdeen Western Periphery Route or AWPR is set to reduce congestion problems, improve safety and lower pollution levels within the Granite City by creating a new bypass from Balmedie to Tipperty.

Drivers in and around Aberdeen won’t have failed to notice that construction of the new road is well underway. Naturally, this has led to some route disruption while the construction of new junctions and slip roads start to take shape. We want to make sure drivers and their passengers are enjoying car journeys as much as possible during the next few weeks, so we have provided information on traffic management for each section – keeping you driving forward and not round the bend!
