The Volkswagen Van Centre (Aberdeen and Edinburgh) are proud to be one of the UK distributing retailers of the Volkswagen California. The Volkswagen California is the first and only factory built camper van by Volkswagen. Despite the Volkswagen brand being synonymous with camper vans, all previous incarnations were after market conversions - until now.

The Volkswagen California offers complete touring luxury. With its car like dimensions, it fits in to multi-story and supermarket car parks with ease and is a pleasure to drive on a daily basis around town or on long motoring trips. It is extremely well equipped as standard. It includes a refrigerator box, two burner hob, sink with running water, two front ‘captains’ chairs which swivel 360, a sliding rear bench seat on rails, which is removable and folds down flat to form a large double bed.

There is an onboard computer system which controls various displays, the temperature of the refrigerator box, the temperature and timings for the auxiliary heating system, the water levels in the fresh water tank and waste water tanks, the battery levels and not least of all, the electric elevating roof. With the roof fully elevated there is full standing height within the van, or a further, surprisingly large, double sleeping area. The van is superbly designed, packed full of features and clever storage. There is a folding table in the van, and a removable table and chairs cleverly stowed in the boot lid and sliding side door.

As a final reassurance there is a 3 year/100,000 miles manufacturers warranty, with RAC roadside assistance and pan-European cover. The Volkswagen California is the ultimate family car, a compact user friendly camper van and a future classic.
