Apprentice of the Year Ryan McFarlane at VW Commercial Vehicles
Clark Commercials Aberdeen is proud to announce that technician Ryan MacFarlane has won 1st Year Apprentice of the Year VW Commercial Vehicles.
Ryan has been honoured with the Volkswagen Commercial vehicles 1st year Apprentice of the year. This was achieved by giving 100% at all times in the Volkswagen Group National Learning Centre and at his place of work in Aberdeen Volkswagen Van Centre. Ryan came out top of the class with his knowledge, understanding of motor vehicle principles, attitude to his own learning and overall attendance.
Ryan started his VW journey back in 2009. It has been a long and challenging 3 years, but all of his hard work was rewarded on the 24th November 2011 at Rockingham Speedway in Corby where Ryan and other graduating members of his year enjoyed a fun day on the track, having the chance to drive vehicles from all the Volkswagen Group brands. They were also taken round the track in full race vehicles by some of Britain’s top Touring car drivers and to top their day were then given the opportunity to drive Porsche Carerras, guided by a pro-driver.
A presentation of honours concluded the day.
All of the graduating year qualified at SVQ level 3, Service Technician and their appropriate brand Service Technician status. They also qualified with level 3 automotive gas handling and Service Technician Accreditation Qualification.
