DACIA SPONSORS SUPER LEAGUE'S MAGIC WEEKEND WITH UNIQUE FAN PRIZES!

Dacia is giving rugby fans the chance to win a prize that money can’t buy as part of its sponsorship of the Magic Weekend – the Super League’s annual event that sees an entire round of First Utility Super League matches played over a weekend and which this year takes place at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on 21st- 22nd May.

They are hosting a unique competition where people can win family tickets to the Magic Weekend and the opportunity to present the ‘Man of the Match’ awards.

Adding to the excitement, Dacia will also use the action-packed Magic Weekend for the launch of its brand new Rugby League special edition Dacia Duster and Club packs, which celebrate the no-nonsense brand’s new three-year partnership with the Rugby Football League.

To be in with a chance of scooping the prize packages, fans are invited to guess the number of rugby balls in the boot of a Dacia Duster at Lookers Dacia, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, on Monday 16th May (4-6pm) or at Evans Halshaw Dacia, Sunderland, on Thursday 19th May (4-7pm).

The person at each dealership who guesses correctly, or is closest to the right figure, will enjoy a great view of all the action at St James’ Park together with the opportunity to hand over the highly coveted Man of the Match awards and have their picture taken on the pitch.

Visitors to the dealerships will also have the opportunity to see the First Utility Super League trophy and for those who are entering the competition at Lookers Dacia, there will even be the chance to meet rugby stars Sean O’Loughlin, Wigan & England Captain, and Chris Hill, Warrington Captain.

As Principle Partner of the Magic Weekend, Dacia will provide visitors with the opportunity to peruse its full range of award-winning vehicles in the event’s Fan Zone. Also on display will be the specially-liveried Dacia Dusters that have been finished in the ‘strip’ of each of the 12 teams that play in the First Utility Super League, which will be on the road touring iconic Newcastle landscapes on Tuesday 17th May.

Dacia is also unveiling some new offerings for their emblematic model, Duster, at the Magic Weekend. The Rugby League Special Edition Duster has extra features for the Rugby League fan: chrome front and side bars, wheel arch protectors and side protection mouldings to make the vehicle look even more rugged; a boot liner, so that you don’t have to worry about putting muddy kit in the boot; and a 24-litre refrigerated cool box to keep your food and drink fresh for after the match or those journeys to away games. The Rugby League Special Edition equipment can be added to any new Duster order, for only £895.

Dacia is also giving Rugby League fans a chance to show their allegiance to their club on their car! The Rugby League Club pack features floor mats, headrest covers, sun blinds and pennant, all featuring the shield of their favourite Super League team. The pack also includes a rugby ball should customers wish to emulate their heroes! The pack can be ordered for a new Duster or can be added to a customer’s existing Duster, and is available for only £180.

Ed Preston, Communications Manager, Dacia UK said: “Magic Weekend is a highlight of the Super League season and we are looking forward to joining in with the excitement and giving some lucky people a totally unique prize.
