The 5th Annual Perth Beer Festival will be held at Perth's North Inch on Saturday from midday. Hosted by the Perthshire Rugby club, the event will welcome visitors to try out an impressive selection of beers from around the country, while sampling the local produce at the BBQ and Hog Roast, with food being served throughout the day. While enjoying tasty refreshments, visitors are free to relax with an afternoon of entertainment, including great music from local bands and the opportunity to watch some of Scotland's top rugby teams in action! The Community Development Team will also have a Kid Zone set up to give kids their first taste of Rugby with short fun games being held throughout the afternoon.
This popular event is one of many held throughout the year to support Perthshire Rugby's Athlete Development Programme, an initiative supported by Pentland Land Rover. This programme gives all athletes at Perthshire Rugby Club the chance to reach meet their sporting goals and realise their potential, with great success stories already in the making. Working closely with Scottish Rugby and the Scottish Institute of Sport, the programme helps ensure that players continue to develop their sporting talents within the club while also participating in SRU and Institute of Sport development programmes.
So why not pop down and let off some steam with a glass of beer or wine, while sampling a great selection of food? There really is something for everyone and visitors can show support for the club by cheering on from the sidelines!
