Discover these fun facts about your MINI

We are playing ‘did you know’ at John Clark MINI this week with 6 MINI fun facts for you to show off to your friends and family.

Did you know the New MINI 3 Door Hatch was originally designed as a John Cooper Works model before becoming the MINI Cooper & Cooper S models to ensure the entire range achieved the same engaging driving experience? Have you tried the Cooper models against a John Cooper Works model? Ask today about our model test drive experience afternoons.

Did you know that your MINI will recognise you? Well not quite yet but it will recognise different drivers by their individual keys. If you assign you’re settings with one key, and you’re second driver with their key the MINI will remember the settings are saved just the way you like them. No more arguments for your seat settings being messed with.

Did you know MINI is the Second most produced car in the UK with over 2.5 Million cars being built since its re-launch in 2001? 80% of which are exported around the globe to more than 110 Countries. That’s more than enough to stretch bumper to bumper from Oxford to Texas!

Did you know when the MINI Paint shop was finished it was the UK’s second most expensive project costing around 80 million pounds? Your New MINI travels through the paint shop on a conveyor, which is approximately 14km long! The building itself has an area of 38,430 meters squared, or more than 6 Football fields.

Did you know the MINI Glove box is always ventilated, to keep those cosy gloves warm or chilled refreshing drinks cold, depending on what temperature the climate control in the car is set to?

And finallyhave you ever tried to control you’re Gopro from you’re MINI? No? Why not give it a go! For MINI’s with the MINI Connected App, you can capture some amazing footage of your MINI adventure right from the driver’s seat. If you send it to us via Facebook, Twitter or direct to contact.mini@john-clark.co.uk we will share the footage on our social channels. Just use the #MINIAdventure
