Happy Valentines Day! How My Volkswagen Helped Me Find Love

Pamela and Scott: “My now-husband asked me out—but only after he sold me three cars!”

The latest Das magazine is out and has a special Valentines feature with our Marketer Pamela Miller.

On a sunny summer day in 2005, Scott Miller finally asked Pamela out on a date. They’d met two years earlier at VW Aberdeen in Scotland when Scott, now a corporate sales manager, sold Pamela her first VW, a Lupo. Shortly after, Pamela started working at the dealership. For a year, she played it cool, even though she was becoming interested in Scott. In the meantime, he sold her two more cars.

Then came the day Scott invited Pamela to go with him to a coworker’s birthday party. From that point on, they realized they had more in common than their love of VWs. The couple, now 28, married in 2009 and are the proud parents of Olivia, born in August 2011. “No doubt, our love of VW cars cemented our relationship,” Pamela says. “We’d never have met if it weren’t for our cars!”
