The new Nissan Navara enhances the outgoing Navara pickup to offer even more to commercial buyers who demand the very best from their vehicle. Fresh new looks, a comfortable cabin and extra technology mean the model is a major player in the class.
Nissan has added a revised front bumper design to the Navara; reshaped headlamps and chrome detailing help the pick-up to make an excellent first impression. It also sits closer to the road and features black A-pillars which build on the departing model's sporty nature. A higher ground clearance, increased load capacity and different body types make sure function hasn't been overlooked either.
Updates have been made inside the cockpit too, where a new tactical steering wheel joins elegant aluminium-effect inlays on the centre console. The centre stack has also been arranged symmetrically for easier access to the vehicle's various onboard functions. Buyers of all trim grades will find a high-resolution colour display fitted to the instrument cluster to control the car's infotainment system, and steering wheel-mounted buttons make this much safer.
To continue delivering powerful performance the Navara will be offered with the same 2.5-litre 187bhp four-cylinder engine found in the current pick-up. A new 161bhp version will also go on sale to replace the 142bhp unit and both have enough muscle to confidently pull a full load bay through the toughest terrain. Power is sent through a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox to suit your driving style, and better fuel economy can be expected thanks to the firm's powertrain refinements.
As the Navara is primarily a capable workhorse it boasts an ultra-strong chassis and heavy-duty leaf springs, yet a tighter turning circle will improve the experience when driving through the city.
Built to last, the Navara is also engineered to be safe. The strong body is just one way it protects occupants and another is Nissan's active technology, which has been developed to prevent incidents altogether. The main innovations are Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) which comprises Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
The new Nissan Navara will go on sale soon at Specialist Cars Nissan in Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth. As soon as it arrives you can book a test drive to experience the pick-up from behind the wheel and place your order with the help of our friendly advisers. Enquire today for more information.
