Volkswagen Scrappage Scheme

Volkswagen Group have announced today (as of 1 September 2017) an attractive scrappage scheme encouraging the exchange of latest generation, low emission new vehicles with older Euro 1-4 emission standard vehicles from the UK . All VW brands including Audi, SEAT, Skoda and VW Commercial Vehicles will participate in the scheme that is likely to last until the end of the year.

How will it work?

All owners of EU1 to EU4 diesel vehciles registered before 1 January 2010 can trade in there current model and receive a 'Scrappage Upgrade' towards almost any EU6 diesel or petrol model in our range. If offers owners of older diesel vehicles up to £2,000 off the price of a new model, in addition to any existing offer.

All qualifying older vehicles registered in the UK before 1st January 2010 will be taken off the road and scrapped.

Please note, you do not need to be a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle customer, all make and any models are accepted as long as the meet criteria.

Do I qualify?

Customer eligible for the Scrappage scheme must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have owned a EU1 to EU4 diesel model for six months of more (emission standard)
  • You must be a retail customer SLi order type 00 or 01 and using a new SLi scrappage customer type: C2.
  • The new vehicle sale must be purchased in same first name and surname as the V5 of vehicle being traded in.
  • The trade in vehicle must be registered on or before 1st December 2010 (any make/model)
  • You must purchase a EU6 diesel or petrol model - all used vehicles are excluded.

All qualifying vehicles that are traded in will be permanently taken of the road and scrapped.

Terms and Conditions:

The customer trading in their vehicle must have owned a EU1 to EU4 model for six months or more.The trade in vehicle must have been registered on or before 1st January 2010. An Eu6 petrol or diesel model must be purchased. The new order must be placed by September 2017 and vehicles must be registered by March 2018. All type N1 and M1 vehicles (excluding California, Amarok and Transporter Sportline) are available on the Scrappage Scheme. The amount on each model will vary. All qualifying old vehicles being traded in must be scrapped not sold on.
