OUR COMPANY VALUES
As the group grew, we wanted to ensure that we retained the values we had established as a smaller family business, as we felt it was important that existing and new colleagues understood what beliefs and principals drove the company. We involved staff and customers in the process to help understand that what we believed were our core values were indeed part of our culture already and something that we lived by on day to day basis. One extremely strong message that emerged was that our colleagues were proud to work for the group and that the family ethos was an important element of how we worked together. Once we had all the feedback, we began to develop our values which are at the core of what we do and how we do it every day.
Passion - We are committed in everything we do and take pride in our roles knowing that we are always striving to be the best we can be.
Responsible - We want to make a difference in our every day work and be leaders in our industry. We will be accountable and learn from our mistakes, but most importantly recognise and celebrate success.
Integrity - It is important we are honest and work as a team in a respectful manner to uphold the high standards that help us to achieve an excellent customer experience and a positive working environment.
Dependable - We must ensure our colleagues and customers have confidence in us and that we will do what we said we would do. We must deliver on our promises, be trustworthy and transparent.
Enterprising - We encourage our colleagues to show initiative, pursue growth and change to develop personally and improve the business, however we must also be resourceful in what we do.
OUR CHARITY WORK
At the John Clark Motor Group, we understand the importance of giving back and as a result every year we choose new charity partners that we believe we can help and support. In 2021, we are proud to be working with two organisations - Cornerstone and VSA.
This is a truly marvellous charity that has over 40 years experience providing outstanding care and support to those that need it. They offer a range of services to individuals that require additional help including learning and physical disabilities, autism and dementia and ensure that they are able to live a valued life. A life they choose to live. Their team of carers help all ages and their services are extremely broad but can include children play schemes, community support, self directed support, fostering and supported living to name a few. They are certainly making a difference to many peoples lives across Scotland and we are doing all we can to raise money to support them on their mission to grow and help more people that need it.
The VSA Charity, has supported well over 21,000 individuals and offered in excess of 17,000 volunteer hours. They are a local charity to Aberdeen and have over 150 years of experiencing providing vital care for individuals with physical, emotional, mental and social wellbeing challenges. They offer 40 different health and social care services such as residential services and community outreach programmes. Their overall mission is: "To provide the best of care to enable the best of lives; supporting individuals and communities to fulfil their potential." Local to Aberdeen, they have Easter Anguston Farm which is a normal working farm set in 75 acres but is there to help and train adults with learning difficulties and other additional support needs. This is one small example of what they offer and we will be swinging golf clubs, baking cakes, walking and running to do all we can to support them in their mission of make lives better.
