Audi’s flagship SUV, the Audi Q7, has been upgraded again with clear design and even better technology. The second generation came in 2015 with all wheel steering, followed by an initial upgrade in 2019 and this second, comprehensive upgrade in 2023.

The confident and powerful proportions are demonstrated by the overhangs and wheelbase and further emphasised by a choice of distinctive exterior colours and alloy wheels. The unmistakably upright Audi Singleframe with an octagon design now impresses with vertical inlay and they feature a teardrop shape in the base exterior and come in the shape of an L in the S line exterior, as well as for the SQ7 TFSI.

This differentiation from the A models clearly highlights them as an Audi top model alongside the new interplay between the grille’s contours and the headlights, which are now positioned higher. The front-end architecture clearly emphasises the powerful and more present appearance of the new Q7.

The decorative elements have been systematically reduced to give an even clearer and more purist look. To distinguish between the base version and S line exterior package at a first glance, parts of the front bumper, door trim, and diffuser in the base model come in contrasting colours that underline the model’s robust off-road look. The S line exterior package stands out with strongly accentuated side air intakes in the front bumpier for a sportier appearance.

High-intensity LED headlights light up the road in the Q7 as standard with Matrix LED headlights or HD Matrix LED headlights with the Audi laser light available as an option. They work with 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode each and are immediately recognizable via a blue ambient light incorporated into the headlights that symbolizes the precision of laser technology. The laser light becomes active above 43.5 mph and significantly increases the high beam range.

New for the top-of-the-range headlights are digital daytime running light signatures which give the Q7 its characteristic and unmistakable appearance by allowing the user to select one of four various light signatures via the MMI.

The design of the headlights is also new with a higher position for the daytime running lights which gives the Q7 a wider appearance and much more expressive look. For the first time the Q7 also features largely digitalised OLED rear lights as an optional extra.

New decorative inlays are now available, bringing the total number of options available to nine and three new paint finishes to further personalise your Q7. Elsewhere the wheel range now offers a choice of five new 20-inch to 22-inch wheel designs with Black Metallic, Gray Silk Matte with glossy black inlays, or diamond cut Black Metallic are available for 21-inch wheels and larger.

Audi is also expanding the range of apps available in car so that passengers can use popular third-party apps, such as Spotify or Amazon Music, directly from the infotainment system for the first time. This will work alongside the updated driver display, Audi Virtual Cockpit, which will display information such as lane change warnings, distance warnings, intersection assist, and traffic light information in full HD quality.

As part of the upgrade, the SQ7 TFSI will now run on the already established 4.0 TFSI with 507PS and 770Nm of torque and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 4.1 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 155mph.

The market launch of the upgraded Audi Q7 is expected in the next few months. For more information or to be notified when it becomes available, please contact the teams at Aberdeen Audi and Dundee Audi today.
