CUPRA are committed to becoming a leading provider of sustainable mobility and a role model in environmental protection. Their leaders within the business are assigned as role models in protecting the environment and are asked to use their words and actions to demonstrate their commitment.

They are committed to becoming a carbon neutral company by 2050 and have identified several ways that will help them to get there. This includes promoting a circular economy for materials, energy, water, and land use and maximising resource efficiency.

The Volkswagen Group is working towards becoming net carbon neutral by 2050 with their “goTOzero” environmental mission statement representing their move to a net carbon-free way of doing business. By 2030 they want to reduce the CO2 emissions of their passenger cars and light commercial vehicles by 30% per vehicle compared to 2018.

They also recognise that their responsibility starts long before the car is purchased, or even produced, and that they must therefore responsibly obtain raw materials and utilise the circular economy to limit and reduce their environmental impact.
