CUPRA Scores Double Win at What Car? Car of the Year Awards

CUPRA collected two awards at the What Car? Car of the Year Awards, Best to Drive in the small electric category for the CUPRA Born and Best Coupé SUV for the second year in a row for the CUPRA Formentor.

Both models were commended for having high levels of equipment and technology fitted alongside their 5 star Euro NCAP safety ratings. Features such as the 12 inch navigation system with smartphone mirroring, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, lane assist, and dynamic road sign display all contribute towards a more seamless and comfortable driving experience.

What Car? said “With a respectable range, strong performance and smart interior, the Born remains one of our favourite small electric cars,” which solidified its appeal to drivers and is great to build on the previous year’s win as Small Electric Car of the Year.

Meanwhile, whilst discussing the Formentor they added “It has a stylish design, but it also strikes a good balance between sportiness and practicality. It offers space for five adults in its smart-looking interior, plus a big boot, while also being fun to drive”.

CUPRA intends to continue to show that sportiness and electrification are a perfect match this year as they take part in Extreme E, the off-road electric SUV competition.
