Exciting Plans for Project Kings Cross
We are delighted to announce that by working together with Lochee Harp Football Club and St Francis Boxing Club we will be delivering modern facilities for both organisations as part of a potential new showroom development on Kings Cross Road in Dundee.
The new sports facilities would neighbor an all new Pentland Jaguar and Land Rover showroom, seeing the introduction and reintroduction of these world famous brands to the City. This is an exciting expansion of our Pentland division which currently includes two Jaguar and four Land Rover sites across Edinburgh, Elgin, Perth and Cupar.
Plans also include the relocation of John Clark BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad to a state-of-the-art dealership positioned across from the new Jaguar Land Rover site. The current facility on Rutherford Road can then be refurbished, offering a new Specialist Cars Nissan showroom replacing the temporary facilities at Myrekirk Road.
Having worked closely with Jimmy Marr and Jim Kelly, the respective presidents of the sports clubs, we have developed plans that offer modern and improved facilities, including a purpose built sports hub and all weather pitches, for the members and local community. Furthermore, our investment could also bring approximately 50 new jobs to the area.
It’s a significant venture for the group, helping us to realise part of our long-term strategy of growth while building on our aim of offering an outstanding customer experience. Considering our Audi Dundee showroom is already located on Kings Cross Road we hope to establish the area as a go to destination for customers interested in these brands.
However, we don’t just want to create a great space for our customers. We also appreciate the importance of the two clubs to the local community and will work with them and local residents to progress the proposal through to the next stages of the planning process with their interests in mind.
The next phase of the project is to enter into three months of public consultation, during which time we will be inviting the local community to provide feedback on our plans. Further details on the timing of a public meeting will be provided on this website in due course. In the meantime, if you have any questions or feedback you would like to share with us please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing your comments and working with you in the coming months.
