Five stars for new Q7 in Euro NCAP safety tests

Top marks put the seven-seat SUV among safest cars in its category

The new Q7 has been awarded the maximum five stars for safety by Euro NCAP.

The results for adult protection in frontal and side impact collisions, pedestrian protection and child safety put the second-generation Q7 among the safest cars in its category.

The tests showed all passengers are very well protected in the event of a collision. The car also offers plenty of room and a high level of safety for children; up to six child seats can be installed.

The Q7 received the ‘Euro NCAP Advanced’ award for the multi-collision brake assist system — one aspect of the fitted-as-standard Audi pre sense city — and the optional pre sense basic, which  tenses the seatbelt before a collision and closes the windows and sunroof.
