There is just one week left until the final event of this year for the Scottish Electric Chariot Championship which will take place at Bo’ness Hill Climb on 1st September.
Three schools will take part in the Hill Climb itself which will be an amazing experience for those involved to test their cars on the historic track. There will be an estimated 20 pupils in total taking part in the final event of the Jim Clark Championship to compete for the fastest time on the day.
They will follow in the tyre tracks of motorsport legends Sir Jackie Stewart, Sir Stirling Moss, and Peter Collins who have all raced at Bo’ness since the track was first used for a hill climb in 1932. Currently the event is run by Bo’ness Sporting Automobile Club, which was formed in 2022, and they aim to host motorsport events at the hill track in Kinneil Estate whilst preserving the heritage and tradition of Scotland’s oldest permanent motorsport venue.
The mission of the SECC is to encourage young people to be the best that they can be by being the platform that encourages them to embrace technology and connects them with he thought leaders, businesses, schools, youth groups, parents, and professional bodies to unlock their future potential.
We are incredibly proud to support the Scottish Electric Chariot Championship and their mission whilst encouraging the next generation to physically involve themselves with the future of electric cars.
The event is scheduled to start at 12pm on Friday 1st September!
