Chloe Grant finishes round 3 of the GB4 Championship with two 6th positions and a DNF
This past weekend (25th – 26th May), Donington Park GP hosted the third round of the 2024 GB4 Championship, where Chloe showcased her skills with solid performances and some tough luck. She secured P6 in both race one and race two but, unfortunately, had to retire on the final lap of race three.
The competition kicked off with the first test session on Thursday morning, where Chloe’s lap time of 1:29.977 placed her 3rd. Throughout the day, she consistently maintained a mid-pack position. On Friday, she ranked P7 in both session one and session two and improved to P4 in session three.
In a closely contested qualifying session, Chloe’s fastest lap was just 0.075 seconds shy of the position ahead, earning her a P10 start.
Reflecting on her performance, Chloe said: “We made significant progress this weekend. I’m feeling very comfortable in the car and our pace is strong. Races one and two were positive, finishing P6 in both and earning valuable championship points. Race three was a setback, but it’s all part of the learning process. Huge thanks to KMR Sport for their fantastic support.
“With over a month until the next round at Snetterton, I’ll be training on the sim to make sure I’m fully prepared and focused on driving myself and the team forward in the championship.”
KMR Sport Team Principal, Kevin Mills, praised Chloe’s performance: “Chloe made significant strides in testing and had an impressive drive in race one, even posting a faster lap time than the P2 driver in the championship. In race two she gave an excellent drive in wet conditions, finishing P6 and placing three KMR Sport drivers in the top six. The outcome of race three was a shame, but these things happen in racing.”
Round 4 of the 2024 GB4 Championship is set for 13th – 14th July at Snetterton 300. The series will return to Silverstone GP and Donington Park GP before concluding at Brands Hatch GP in September.
Chloe’s season is proudly supported by Laser Tools Racing, John Clark Motor Group, Specsavers, and John Miller Limited.
