Gordon Shedden wins Round 9 of the 2026 BTCC Season

Gordon Shedden delivered a sensational performance at Snetterton to secure victory in Round 9 of the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, marking his seventh career win at the Norfolk circuit in one of his finest BTCC drives to date.

Champion Under Pressure

Starting from pole position, Shedden faced relentless pressure throughout the race but showcased all of the experience and racecraft that have made him a three-time champion. After holding off the early challenge from the Cataclean Plato Racing cars, the battle intensified as multiple champions closed in behind. In the closing stages, Shedden produced a masterclass in defensive driving to maintain his lead under immense pressure, refusing to put a wheel wrong as he guided his Toyota Corolla to a hugely deserved victory.

The result underlined both Shedden’s enduring class and determination, delivering another memorable success in front of the BTCC fans and further cementing his status as one of the championship’s all-time greats.
