John Clark Motor Group are delighted to be sponsoring Run Balmoral this year as the partner of The Devil of Deeside event, the most challenging task that you can take on across the weekend! We have been involved with Run Balmoral for several years, previously through Specialist Cars Nissan in Aberdeen who provided vehicles to be used at the event, and it is great to be back again to support the 2024 event, especially as they celebrate their 25th year!
If you think that you are up to the challenge of The Devil of Deeside you will need to complete the Stena Drilling 10k, Harbour Energy 5k, Bristow 15 Mile Trail Race, and the Apollo Duathlon: it’s not a task for the faint hearted!
On event day you’ll receive a unique John Clark Motor Group Devil of Deeside t-shirt and vest to make your commitment clear and you’ll also receive finisher’s technical t-shirts and a finisher’s medal for each individual race.
Electronic timing will be used across each race and then amalgamated to determine the runner with the fastest overall chip time, so you don’t need to be right at the front to win! Two winners will be declared across two categories: Male and Female.
This year’s event trophies will be made by Highland Heritage Woodworks, a local carpenter based in Dunecht Estate, from trees which fell during some of the terrible storms we have had over the last few years.
As well as sponsoring the race itself we will be providing three 4x4 vehicles for the weekend so that the marshals are able to safely reach the checkpoints on the various routes and we have several entry places for the 5k, 10k, and 15-mile events which we will be giving away – so keep an eye out for more details!
Run Balmoral has been managed by Balmoral Road Races Ltd since 2005 but the event itself has been around since 1998. It offers a family event with races for all ages and abilities in one amazing weekend at the historic Balmoral Estate in Royal Deeside.
