The Scottish Electric Chariot Championships (SECC) is designed to engage young people across the nation in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM).
The mission of the SECC is to encourage young people to be the best that they can be by being the platform that encourages them to embrace technology and connects them with he thought leaders, businesses, schools, youth groups, parents, and professional bodies to unlock their future potential.
Each team works throughout the term to build their own Electric Chariot. They are provided with an Electric Chariot kit and support to help build it before putting it to the test in a series of time trial races at different locations.
As well as creating the Chariot and racing it the team will also learn valuable skills in managing their team finances, branding, and promoting their very own race team.
John Clark Motor Group is proud to be involved with the Scottish Electric Chariot Championship as it helps to give the next wave of clean technology leaders first-hand experience in understanding the vital role of electric cars and their technology in our future.
