Developed from the 2019 CUPRA Tavascan concept car, the latest member of the CUPRA family is also its first all electric coupe SUV. The New CUPRA Tavascan is designed and developed in Barcelona, and will be available with 2 power outputs to match the impulsive new design language.
CUPRA Tavascan Design
The athleticism, sporty proportions and distinct details of the CUPRA Tavascan are inspired from the racetrack, from the illuminated CUPRA logo, to the shark nose and sleek exterior lines. A range of forged and machined alloy wheels come in sizes ranging from 19" - 21" are specifically designed to not only extend the character of The Tavascan, but also to improve the airflow and maximise efficiency. At the rear, the characteristic tail lights and full width light bar are joined by an aerodynamic diffuser.
CUPRA Tavascan Performance
The Tavascan comes as 2 variants, the Tavascan and The Tavascan VZ. The former is a rear wheel drive single motor car, which produces a maximum 0f 286PS, with a range of up to 341 miles. The VZ is a dual motor all wheel drive car, with a maximum power output of 340PS and 679Nm of torque alongside an electric range of 321 miles. The selectable CUPRA modes allow the driver to select from 6 Driving Modes: Range, Comfort, Performance, CUPRA, Individual and Traction, with each tailored for a specific driving style.
CUPRA Tavascan Interior
The sculpted interior of The CUPRA Tavascan is designed to echo the sharp exterior styling, with a contemporary central spine and unique Y-Bone console, finished in Dark Ice Metal. This is perfectly complimented by the Dark Night microfibre sport bucket seats, which provide an engaging, yet comfortable drive. LED lighting is utilised throughout the interior to emphasise the floating elements, like the sleek dashboard, sculpted centre console and steering wheel.
CUPRA Tavascan Electric
Following on from The CUPRA Born, the CUPRA Tavascan EV is the second fully electric car from CUPRA, based on The Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. Charging is easy, thanks to compatibility for both AC and DC chargers, and the battery can be replenished from 10% to 80% in just under half an hour at a 135kW DC charge point. The CUPRA easy charging app is always available at your fingertips to keep things simple, and guide you to the nearest charging points for electric cars. An optional heat pump is also available to heat the interior more efficiently in colder weather, helping to preserve the battery.
CUPRA Tavascan Technology
The Navigation System, Digital Cockpit and My CUPRA app provide the latest generation of connectivity, which includes online maps, entertainment and voice recognition, plus more. The 15" floating display is the largest ever seen in a CUPRA model, and also integrates a brand new Human Machine Interface (HMI), helping the driver augmented system to be even more intuitive. The mobile phone app also features the convenience of the remote lock & unlock for your Tavascan.
