We are delighted to share that this year we have welcomed 50 new Technical, Parts & Bodyshop Apprentices across the business, our largest intake ever. They will receive training over the next few years, depending on their course length, at John Clark Motor Group dealerships to become fully qualified in partnership with Bosch and Skills Development Scotland.
We took our newest recruits on our Annual JCMG Apprentice Week at the Outward Bound Trust Loch Eil, where they took on five days of adventure activities in the Scottish Highlands.
The Outward Bound Trust aims to give young people a unique experience of challenge and achievement, inspiring them to realise their potential through learning and adventure in the outdoors.
During the week, the apprentices took on a variety of personal development and team building challenges such as canoeing on Loch Eil, abseiling down a 30-foot cliff, water crossings via a wire bridge, an overnight expedition and group presentations on the final day.
This trip helps them prepare for the workplace and teaches them our company values, as well as time keeping, accountability and personal responsibility helping them transition into the world of work.
