All this fun in the sun was for an exceptionally good reason, in fact two incredibly good reasons. Our Charity Golf Day was aimed at raising funds for our two supported charities, VSA Aberdeen and Cornerstone. We are delighted to advise that the day raised £20,568 a contribution that I am sure both charities will very much appreciate.
We could not have achieved this result without the support as mentioned previously of our customers, suppliers, colleagues, and the many great businesses that John Clark Motor Group work with and whom we are deeply indebted to for their continued support. The list in lengthy but they all know who they are.
We must also extend sincere thanks to the team at Meldrum House for their hospitality, and a great meal in fantastic surroundings.
A special thank you also to David Edwards, Golf Professional, and our special guest on the day. As well as starting the day with his famous Trick Shot Show, David very kindly provided us with his video commentary funnies during the meal, a terrific way to look back on a successful day.
The day’s winning team was Burness Paull, followed in second place by McLaren Murdoch and Hamilton and in third place was Balmoral Group.
Alan Chappell was our individual winner with John Sampson as runner up and Cara Low in third place. Cara was also the winner of us nearest the pin prize. Steven Wren took first place for the longest drive.
An enjoyable day was had by all, and our thanks go to everyone who played a part in the Charity Golf Day to help raise funds for two worthy causes. We hope to see you all again next year.
