The MG MG4 EV is the brand's first ever fully electric hatchback and also the first developed on parent company SAIC's battery-electric Modular Scalable Platform. The European market was the primary target and it launched in 2022 with a hatchback style and rear-wheel drive layout. Similar models would include the Nissan Leaf or the Volkswagen ID.4.
All used car models include projector auto LED headlights, LED rear lights, tinted windows, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, and rear parking sensors which makes manoeuvring and visibility incredibly easy. 17 inch alloy wheels with low resistance aero covers are standard across the range whilst 18 inch alloy wheels are included on top trim levels. Similarly the entry level offers a rear spoiler but this is upgraded to a twin aero rear spoiler on Trophy Long Range and trophy Extended Range models, exuding style and a sporty look.
As a fully electric car, the MG4 EV offers three different battery sizes: 51kW, 64kW, and 77kW with maximum torque of 250Nm for the lower battery sizes and 350Nm for the largest size. There are no other powertrains available on this model but across the range of MG models you will find petrol and plug in hybrid options if those are more suited to your needs.
Using a 150kW fast charger gives the battery a charge of 10-80% in as little as 35 minutes (model and battery dependent) whilst combined range varies from 218 miles at entry level to as much as 323 miles combined for a top level Trophy Extended Range. Enjoy one pedal driving and extend your range further by utilising the regenerative braking feature to make the most of every charge.
Standard on MG4 cars include Android Auto, MG Pilot Advanced Driver Assistance, satellite navigation, a 360 degree parking camera, a wireless phone charger, a 7 inch full digital driver information display, and projector LED headlights.
