We are delighted to announce that a total of £38,000 was raised at our recent Ladies Lunch for Race Against Dementia (RAD). This money will go a long way to support them in the incredible work that they do and is an excellent start to our fundraising efforts for the year.
We want to take the opportunity to thank all those who attended and supported the event once again for their generosity and for making the event so successful.
One of our event sponsors, Firehorse, have some fantastic offerings in support of RAD. Their gorgeous 100% silk collection has many options and your purchase will continue to support Race Against Dementia.
Race Against Dementia was established by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE following his wife Helen’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Sir Jackie was horrified to discover that there is currently no cure for dementia, which devastates the lives of so many families.
RAD supports early career researchers in many aspects of dementia research and there are currently RAD Fellows and Associates based in the UK, Australia, USA, Europe, and South Africa. Their vision is a breakthrough in the prevention or treatment of dementia with the greatest of urgency.
