Vehicle Inspection Checklist
Wiper Blades & Washers We inspect the condition of your wiper blades to ensure they can effectively clear your windscreen of dust, debris, and unexpected summer showers. We’ll also check your washer fluid levels and top them up if needed to ensure clear visibility during every drive.
Lights All your vehicle’s lights, including headlights, brake lights, indicators, and fog lights, will be checked to ensure they are functioning properly and clearly visible, essential for safe driving during bright sunlight, low sun glare, and evening journeys.
Warning Lights We’ll inspect your dashboard for any warning lights and diagnose potential issues, helping to ensure there are no hidden problems affecting your vehicle’s performance, efficiency, or safety.
Tyres Our team will inspect your tyres for tread depth, wear, and pressure to ensure they are ready for hot road surfaces, long motorway journeys, and sudden summer downpours, giving you confidence and control in all conditions.
Brakes Your brakes are critical for safety all year round. We’ll assess the condition of your brake pads and discs to ensure they are performing effectively, especially during longer summer trips and heavier holiday traffic.
Steering & Suspension We’ll check your steering and suspension systems to ensure they are in good condition and capable of handling increased summer driving, from long-distance travel to uneven road surfaces.
Coolant & Engine Fluid Coolant is essential in warmer weather to prevent your engine from overheating. We’ll check coolant levels and top them up if necessary, helping to keep your engine running at the right temperature.
Brake Fluid We’ll also inspect your brake fluid levels to ensure your braking system continues to perform reliably, giving you confidence and control on every journey.

The John Clark Kia Summer Safety Check is a complimentary service available to all Kia vehicle owners at John Clark Kia Peterhead. Designed to help keep your vehicle in excellent condition for summer driving, this free visual inspection includes checks of your wiper blades, washers and washer fluid levels, lights and warning lights, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension, engine coolant levels, battery condition, and air conditioning performance. Whether you're planning a staycation or a longer road trip, we'll help ensure your Kia is ready for the journey.

The Summer Safety Check is provided free of charge. Any additional repairs, parts, or maintenance identified during the inspection will be quoted separately and are not included as part of the offer. All bookings must be made in advance and are subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply.
