VOTED CAR OF THE YEAR 2024
The All-New Renault Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric was first revealed to the world as a concept car, the Renault Scénic Vision, in May 2022 before being confirmed for production beginning in 2024.
Despite only just entering production, it has already won the prestigious Car of the Year award for 2024. A jury of 58 motoring journalists from 22 countries decided on the winner and the Scenic received 329 points overall to become the seventh Renault model to win the title in the brand's history.
It enters the market and takes on other electric cars designed for the whole family such as the Skoda Enyaq and the Tesla Model Y and offers a continuation of 27 years of the Scenic story.
Built on the CMF-EV/AmpR Medium platform from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, the All-New Renault Scenic E-Tech electric takes sustainable development and safety to new heights. Up to 24% of the materials in the Scenic E-Tech come from the circular economy and most of its mass is 90% recyclable.
The front end of the car has a newly designed grille and full LED light signature with half-round daytime running lights whilst the rear of the car reinforces the distinctive style with chiselled tail lights, body creases, and the Scenic monogram.
For a truly stand out model of the Scenic E-Tech, consider the esprit Alpine trim level which offers 20-inch speedway diamond cut alloy wheels, satin grey front and rear trim, and matte shadow grey bodywork, adding a touch of elite motorsport finery to your family life.
The openR link system is spread across two 12 inch screens with controls found on the steering wheel adding to the ease of use, giving a high performance and high definition interface screen. The new generation system provides connected services with built-in Google and more than 50 applications available, including Google Maps, all accessible easily from the front seats.
Those in the rear seats benefit from the new smart rear armrest which houses two USB-C points, allowing you to stay charged and connected wherever you're sat. There's also a completely flat floor and 27.8cm of legroom for those sat on the rear bench, making plenty of room for everyone.
Exclusive to Iconic trim levels is the Solarbay panoramic glass roof, a result of the joint development by Renault and Saint-Gobain which is built on the latter's Sekurit’s AmpliSky® full electronic system. It uses a PDLC (liquid crystals dispersed in a polymer) film between two glass plates, made from 50% recycled glass, and an electric current which charges the alignment of the liquid crystals. It is voice activated via Google Assistant or a button on the ceiling and offers four opacity modes for customised comfort.
The All-New Renault Scenic E-Tech Electric offers two different battery sizes: 60kWh and 87kWh, also referred to as EV60 Comfort Range and EV87 Long Range, which offer 170hp and 220hp respectively.
Certified driving range WLTP figures gives you up to 260 miles with the EV60 and up to 379 miles with the EV87. You can also use a rapid DC 150kW charging point to charge from 15% to 80% battery in as little as 37 minutes or gain a full charge at an 11kW wallbox charger in 9 hours.
A heat pump comes as standard, unlike many electric vehicles, which is combined with a thermal management system for the battery and engine. This will automatically regulate the temperature and ensures the thermal comfort of the passenger compartment, thus saving energy and allowing you to drive for longer on a single charge.
There are also a wealth of innovative technologies in place to make your journeys even easier whether you're doing city or motorway driving. This includes speed limiter, adaptive cruise control, active driver assist, distance warning, hill start assist, automatic high/low beam, front, rear, and side park assist, traffic sign recognition with speed alert, blind spot warning, and active emergency braking. There are also isofix connection points in the outer rear seats which allows you to safely and securely fix child seats.
