Vehicle Tax (VED) for the Renault Trafic will vary depending on the chosen powertrain. Diesel (ICE) models are taxed based on their CO₂ emissions, meaning first-year rates can differ depending on the specific engine selected.
For fully electric E-Tech models across Renault's van range, lowering running costs are a key benefit, with reduced or zero tailpipe emissions and typically lower taxation compared to traditional combustion engines.
From the second year onwards, vehicle tax is generally charged at a standard Government rate, although this is subject to change in line with official updates. As legislation evolves, electric vehicle taxation may also be adjusted in future years.
Please note that vehicles with a higher list price may be subject to additional charges, depending on current UK tax rules.
The official WLTP figures for the Renault Trafic vary depending on which engine you opt for, but the combined mpg figures fall between 38.7 and 40.9. Your own driving style and the driving conditions will alter this, however.
