Radical. That is the only word you need to describe the new flagship of The Alpine A110 Range. Designed to perform on the racetrack but also be certified for the road, this long awaited model is packed with the latest motor racing inspired features and advanced technologies, all adapted to optimise the handling and performance at high speeds.
Performance
The New Alpine A110 R is driven by a powerful 1.8L turbo, capable of deploying a remarkable 300hp for an intense driving experience. By combining this with a 14kg improvement in downforce at the front, thanks to integrated air intake valves on the shield, the A110 R can complete the 0-62mph sprint in as little as 3.9 seconds.
Aerodynamics & Weight
By utilising the latest wind-tunnel technology and tools used in Formula 1, The drag has been reduced by 5% on the A110 R, expanding the track top speed to 177mph. Alongside improved downforce and exclusive chassis enhancements, the weight has also seen a drastic reduction of 34kg from The A110 S, taking it to just 1,082kg.
Carbon Fibre
The extensive use of Carbon Fibre both inside and out is once again derived from Formula 1. It has been used for the entire bonnet, giving a sportier look and reducing the weight by 2.9kg. Even the tailor-made wheels are entirely carbon fibre, reducing weight, but also improving aerodynamics and providing greater brake cooling.
Available exclusively with the Racing Matte Blue used on The Formula 1 A522, the harmonious colour has been altered for a sportier edge thanks to input from Fernando Alonso. This Limited Edition boasts a rare level of exclusivity, and benefits from the input and expertise of the two-time Formula 1 Champion.
This series features an adjustable chassis which can easily lower the body by 10mm for track use, and also alter the stiffness of the suspension. Orange brake callipers are a nod to Fernando Alonso's historic colours, with details such as grey edges on the rims and a blue-orange-yellow flag on the rear quarter windows reflecting the collaboration. Inside, the door straps and steering wheel centrepiece are also finished in orange, with the racing drivers signature embroidered into the sport seats. Eagle-eyed drivers will spot his philosophy, laser-cut into the sun visor. "There is more than one path to the top of the mountain"
There will only be 32 units built, referencing the number of F1 victories achieved by Fernando Alonso, with each numbered in chronological order and bearing the circuit and year of victory on an engraved plaque for an extra layer of exclusivity. Buyers will receive a replica Fernando Alonso helmet, signed by the man himself.
