Jaguar has unveiled the new Type 01, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the iconic British marque. Blending exuberant modernist design with instinctive driving dynamics and cutting-edge electric technology, the Type 01 reimagines the luxury grand tourer for a new generation.

For clients looking to discover Jaguar’s latest vision for the future of luxury performance, Jaguar Edinburgh, Newbridge is your exclusive destination.

A design that commands attention

The Jaguar Type 01 makes a striking first impression. Its low roofline, elongated bonnet, short front overhang and extended rear proportions create a dramatic silhouette that pays tribute to Jaguar’s design heritage while embracing a bold, contemporary direction.

Distinctive 23-inch wheels enhance its commanding stance, while carefully sculpted surfaces and advanced aerodynamic features contribute to a drag coefficient of just 0.23 - making it the most aerodynamic Jaguar ever engineered.

More than 360 patent applications underline the engineering ambition behind the vehicle, supported by Jaguar’s bespoke JEA (Jaguar Electric Architecture), developed to bring this distinctive design vision to life.

Long-distance capability meets electric innovation

The Type 01 combines its performance credentials with technology designed to make electric motoring more convenient.

Its 850-volt electrical architecture and 118kWh usable battery deliver an anticipated EPA range of up to 400 miles, with a sustained highway-speed range of up to 320 miles under specified conditions.

When connected to a compatible 350kW rapid DC charger, the vehicle is expected to add up to 200 miles of range in as little as 13 minutes, helping make longer journeys more practical.

All performance, charging and range figures are manufacturer estimates and remain subject to homologation and driving conditions.

British innovation, built for the future

Designed, engineered and built in the UK, the Jaguar Type 01 represents a significant milestone in the brand’s evolution. Its combination of bespoke electric architecture, advanced aerodynamics and striking design demonstrates Jaguar’s ambition to create a new generation of luxury performance vehicles.
