The car is powered by the combination of a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 65kW battery that produces 221bhp and allows for an all-electric (EV) range of up to 26 miles. The vehicle is able to go from 0-60mph in approximately 6.6 seconds, too, while returning as much as 113mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 56g/km. Naturally, in EV mode, the Countryman PHEV produces zero emissions.
This compact SUV is fitted with a six-speaker sound system that includes DAB radio, AUX and USB inputs and Bluetooth connectivity. Also featured as standard is a 6.5-inch touchscreen navigation system, which offers voice control and provides live traffic updates.
The car boasts a maximum five-star Euro NCAP crash-test rating and a whole raft of safety technology. For instance, the inclusion of Autonomous Emergency Braking significantly reduces the risk of low-speed collisions. The car also features a pop-up bonnet that softens the impact for unwary pedestrians.
