Which Cars Are Available on Motability
There are lots of different types of cars available on Motability which means it should be easy to find one that suits your needs. It varies per manufacturer, but you can see what we are currently able to offer for each brand by choosing one from the Price List drop down in the menu at the top of the page. How to Apply for A Motability Car
You can apply for a car on the Motability scheme directly through a John Clark Motor Group dealership. All our main dealer sites have a Motability specialist who will be able to guide you through the process. Click here to enquire.
How Does Motability Work
If you are eligible to join the Motability scheme, you will order your car through the relevant dealership in a similar way to ordering a brand new car as a retail customer. How Long Does It Take to Get a Motability Car
How long your Motability car takes will depend on each manufacturer and what car you have decided to get. Some may have a longer lead time than others and if you are having adaptations installed then this will also add some time from when you place your order to when it becomes available for you to collect. Your Motability specialist will keep you up to date at every stage of the process, including before you place an order so that you know how long you can expect to wait.
Are Motability Cars Free
Motability cars are not free, but they use the payment that you receive from one of the qualifying benefit payments to make sure that you are still able to financially access a car to get around whether you are working or not. Our Motability specialists will happily discuss costs with you in more detail and help you to find the right car for you.
Can Motability Be Used for Work
Yes! You can use your Motability car for all the same things that you would use any other car that you have purchased. You can learn more about the benefits of a Motability car here.
Can I Extend My Motability Lease
There are circumstances where you can extend you Motability Lease, such as if you need more time to look for a new vehicle. If you are interested in finding out about this, you will need to speak to Motability directly.
Who Can Drive a Motability Car
You can have up to three drivers insured on your Motability car, even if you won’t be driving the car yourself. Our Eligibility page has more details about who can drive your Motability car.
When Do Motability Prices Change
The pricing of Motability cars can change at any time as every individual manufacturer releases their own offer prices. If you see an attractive offer through the Motability scheme but aren’t sure how long it will last you can check with the Motability specialist at the dealership who will keep you right.
However, once you have collected your car the price will stay the same for the entire lease period, the same as it would if you were purchasing a car as a retail customer.
