Our Junior Marketing Assistant was given the chance to Test Drive one of SEAT's newest models, the SEAT Ibiza Hatchback 1.0 TSI 95 FR. Read about her experience here.
Coming into a new role during lockdown, working from home, and not being able to meet my new colleagues face-to-face has been a strange and unique time. However, come my 4th week at John Clark Motor Group as Junior Marketing Assistant, I was given the chance to test drive the new SEAT Ibiza FR. As a MINI driver, I was doubtful that I would enjoy this car as much as my own… but how wrong I was.
At first glance, this car boasted a sporty and chiselled exterior, something which I never thought I’d appreciate. This sporty look continued into the interior of the car, yet it still offers an abundance of passenger and boot space, making this car perfect for either a day out in the city or a weekend away.
I personally loved the technology built within this model. The 8” colour touchscreen was easy and great fun for me to use, I was also surprised to learn about the SEAT Drive App. Being able to control the Infotainment System via an App is incredibly convenient and feels quite luxury having this option, something I had never associated SEAT with before.
The contrasting red stitching on the steering wheel, gearshift and handbrake added a nice amount of colour and more sporty flare to the interior of the Ibiza FR. The steering wheel itself also made for a great driving experience, being able to operate the Infotainment System via the wheel was both comfortable and helpful for me.
The drive itself was smooth, enjoyable, and felt very safe. The Ibiza FR comes with Speed Control,Tiredness Recognition and even Hill Hold Control. In my opinion, these aspects make this an ideal model for a first-time driver.
Coming into this test drive, I thought I had a very clear idea of what I like and don’t like about a car. However, when it was time to return the Ibiza FR to Specialist Cars SEAT Aberdeen, it left me with an open mind as to what I might now look for in a vehicle going forward. Is it time for me to upgrade my MINI?
