We are pleased to announce that our ŠKODA Octavia SE Business model has taken victory in the 'Up to 1,400kg' category at the Tow Car of the Year Awards, making this the third Tow Car award in a row for the popular model. Competition was stiff, with editorial staff from What Car? and Practical Caravan magazines sitting among the judging panel, as well as technical experts from the Camping and Caravanning Club.
Each participating car was put through a number of rigorous towing tests, including acceleration, braking, hill starts and an emergency lane-change test. However, the cars were not only rated on their towing ability, but also for regular driving, safety, running costs and value for money. Practical details were also assessed, such as boot space, how easily extension mirrors can be fitted and whether the spare wheel provision is suitable for towing.
The main aim of the competition is to find good cars which are great to tow with, but are also good value for money and suitable for everyday driving.

As you'd expect of a former overall winner, it tows beautifully. It's also immensely roomy, with more than enough space for tall adults to travel comfortably in the back."
