The partnership between John Clark and Volkswagen was established in 1986, when John decided to take on the legendary brand under the John Clark (formally Specialist Cars) banner right in the heart of Aberdeen. Not prepared to rest on our laurels, we have continually developed and advanced our Volkswagen offering, starting with the opening of the £1.5m Autoplex centre in 1994.
In 2001, the £1m Volkswagen Kirkcaldy dealership was opened and two years later we invested £3m into another new showroom and service centre in Aberdeen. At the time of completion, it was the largest VW retail centre in Europe. Since then we have added a third dealership in Dunfermline, which caters to used cars and provides a manufacturer approved service centre only.
