The new Volkswagen ID.7 received a top score of five stars when it was recently tested by the globally recognised Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test. This places the all-electric luxury car amongst the top-rated models of 2023 in the overall rankings for 2023.
The test is based on results in four categories: Occupant protection for adults, Occupant protection for children, Protection of unprotected road users, and Safety assist systems available. The ID.7 achieved the best results in the adults category with a 95% rating and likewise achieved excellent results for the remaining three categories.
Alongside occupant protection, Euro NCAP also examines how well automatic emergency braking systems can protect vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists in the event of an impending collision.
