Performance

The Passat Saloon and Touring VW hybrid car has a 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine and electric motor that can offer a range of up to 34 miles in pure electric mode. The VW Hybrid will start in electric mode as a default unless you need a great deal of power. Or if the battery runs out, at this point the car will switch to Hybrid Mode, utilising the engine and electricity recovered by the regenerative braking system. There is also GTE mode which sharpens the throttle response for better acceleration and plays synthetic engine sounds into the cabin.
