John Clark Motor Group proudly sponsors Knockhill Racing Circuit’s Teen Drive, a unique driving experience for teenagers aged 13-17 years old to take their first steps on their driving journey. We are incredibly passionate about Teen Drive as it allows driving in a controlled environment with trained professionals and sets up a foundation of what good driving should look like.
At Knockhill they provide young drivers with the experience of driving on private roadways, large and safe tarmac areas, and their hillside rally stage for a fully rounded session that really lets them get stuck into different driving situations. The aim is to teach the basics of car control, to encourage progression, and to ensure that every young driver leaves with a sound understanding and appreciation of driving a car.
Some of the topics covered includes an introduction to practical driving skills, learning basic car controls in a safe enclosed tarmac area, learning about theory test topics, and progressive practical driving sessions. There’s also a debrief with driver feedback!
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a 1.27-mile track and Scotland’s only FIA-graded circuit which accommodates both car and bike racing in both directions, offering a truly unique experience. There are tight corners, steep climbs, and technical descents and is deeply connected to British motorsport as it has hosted events such as the British Touring Car Championship and British Superbikes.
