Mid 2024 will see the Audi Q2 receive a significant equipment upgrade with the introduction of a technology update for the infotainment system. Every new Audi Q2 will come with Audi virtual cockpit as standard and an 8.8-inch touchscreen as the central control unit for the MMI. A storage compartment will replace the previous version’s rotary/push button controls.
Audi’s virtual cockpit provides a full HD display that measures 12.3 inches and displays all instruments and can be customised from the multifunction steering wheel easily to display the most important information to you.
Drivers can also toggle between two basic display layouts: In one layout, the speedometer and tachometer are about the same size as analogue dials and integrate media or navigation information into the central display area. In the second layout, the size of the speedometer and tachometer are reduced without compromising readability. This layout also features an almost full-screen navigation map with integrated route planning. Its large size makes the map much easier for the driver to read.
The new MMI touch screen tales centre stage in the dashboard with its bright display, touch control, and natural voice control. Standard accompanying equipment includes the MMI Radio with DAB turner, two data-capable USB-C ports, emergency call functions, and select Audi Connect Services.
There are then additional options which can be added to your Audi Q2 to further enhance the new systems including MMI Navigation plus which adds navigation services and information from other sources such as Google. It also includes additional online services such as traffic information, on-street parking information, online radio, and online music identification, all run through a permanently installed e-SIM.
The upgraded Audi Q2 is due to be launched in the first half of 2024, please speak to the teams at Aberdeen Audi and Dundee Audi today for any further questions.
