This encourages customers to keep their vehicles long term rather than swapping out every couple of years but also means that the important and expensive raw materials in their car can be saved and used again.
The brand has also taken steps to reduce the impact of their cars in daily use by launching new petrol engines which have a particulate filter in the exhaust pipe to remove harmful particles from exhaust gases. In diesel models the engines work with a selective catalytic reduction system with AdBlue to convert harmful NOx into non-hazardous gases.
