Used Jaguar XE

Boasting a sleek refined exterior and hard to rival performance,  this sports saloon combines visual appeal and dynamism that Jaguar is known for. Undoubtedly an exciting addition to the Jaguar offering.

The EX is a little more compact than the Jaguar XF. This was by design to allow the XE to be more performance-oriented. A leading to a car that offers punchier engines and incredibly responsive handling.

We are not the only ones who highly rate the Jaguar XE given it has had over a dozen awards over the years. Most recently named as the most reliable family car by L’automobile magazine. This really shouldn’t come as a surprise either seeing the Euro NCAP also awarded the XE the full five stars on their crash test.

This will be due to the vast array of safety equipment Jaguar installed in their saloon. More recent models benefit from pedestrian-friendly pop-up bonnets, emergency brake assist and lane departure warnings as standard. Along with an alarm and engine immobiliser to help deter thieves.

Despite being quite the compact car the front cabin of the XE is still very spacious. More so than previous Jaguar models. You still have ample room for comfortable longer journeys.

What trim levels are available?

The XE is offered with five trim levels that range in cost and features.Trim options include SE, Prestige, Portfolio, R-Sport, and S.

Even the SE model comes very well equipped as standard with heated leather seats in the front and rear, parking sensors, and four-zone climate control. As you work your way through each trim level Jaguar enhances the features gradually with body kits, larger alloy wheels or parking assist to name a few.

What should I look out for when buying a Jaguar XE?

The good news is that the XE is an incredibly reliable car. There are a few issues that can appear after years of motoring though. Gremlins can appear in electronics. Ensure you test the lights, windows, heated seats, and any other electrical component when you have it. If it passes those tests you are sure to be alright.

Aside from that keep an eye out for any signs of wear and tear internally and externally. It may offer insights into how previous owners treated the car. You’ll also want to see a good service history.
