EcoRally Scotland 2025 Brings Sustainable Motorsport to Broomhill Road

John Clark Motor Group celebrates Scotland’s first FIA international motorsport event in over a decade

15 August 2025

At the end of July, John Clark Motor Group’s Broomhill Road dealership in Dundee proudly hosted the opening day of EcoRally Scotland 2025, part of the prestigious Bridgestone FIA EcoRally Cup. This landmark event brought together electric and hybrid vehicles for a thrilling showcase of sustainable motorsport.

An Electric Start to the Weekend

On Friday 25th July, our site became the hub of rally activity as teams arrived for vehicle scrutineering and official checks ahead of the weekend’s competition. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as drivers, officials, media, and spectators gathered to mark the start of an unforgettable event.

That evening, the ceremonial start at Camperdown Park launched the rally, setting the stage for two days of competition through some of Scotland’s most scenic routes.

EcoRally Scotland went beyond speed, focusing on precision, navigation, and innovation. Over 155 miles of Tayside and Fife countryside tested the skill and teamwork of drivers, while demonstrating that motorsport can be exciting, inclusive, and environmentally responsible.

Proud to Support the Future of Motoring

The event supported Scotland’s Net Zero vision and Dundee’s Charging for the Future strategy, showing how EVs and hybrids are shaping both everyday driving and competitive sport.

We were honoured to be part of an initiative that champions cleaner, more accessible motorsport. Our thanks go to everyone, from competitors to community members, who joined us at Broomhill Road and helped make the opening day such a success.
