John Clark Motor Group was proud to support a significant charity initiative on Tuesday, as world-record-holding endurance cyclist Mark Beaumont and a team of elite riders departed from our BMW Aberdeen dealership on an ambitious 100+ mile cycling challenge across the North East of Scotland.
The event was organised to raise vital funds and awareness for UCAN, a local charity focused on improving urological cancer care, and to support the development of the SURE Unit (Specialist Urological Rapid Evaluation) at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This new unit aims to dramatically reduce cancer diagnosis times from several months to just a matter of days—an advancement that will have a transformative impact on patients and families across the region.
This ride forms part of the broader Kick the Ball campaign, which engages with local communities through football and sport to raise awareness and inspire donations. Along their route, the team visited a number of local football clubs, drawing support and attention to the cause throughout the day.
John Clark Motor Group was honoured to play a role in this important effort, and we extend our appreciation to everyone involved—especially the cyclists, the campaign organisers, and the supporters who contributed to the day's success. Their dedication and drive are helping bring much-needed change to cancer care in the North East.
