Volkswagen T-Roc

The New Volkswagen T-Roc (MY26)

Compact on a new scale.

With the second generation of the T-Roc, Volkswagen has launched a compact SUV that presents itself with a new powerful design, innovative drive trains and a high-quality interior. Volkswagen T-Roc cars were first launched on the market in 2017 and is the world’s most successful Volkswagen SUV after the Tiguan. The second generation now being introduced has been improved in all areas.

Sporty. Flexible. Comfortable

The first T-Roc already had its own unique style: an unmistakable yet appealing face that stood out from the crowd. Its hallmark features included a striking silver stripe extending from the A-pillar to the distinctive VW T-Roc C-pillar next to the rear doors.

Another of the T-Roc’s clear archetypal features was the sharp, muscular and powerful shoulder section above the rear wheel arch. These design features have also been incorporated into the successor’s new design as the DNA of this product line. It fits well within the small SUV segment, being slightly longer than some rivals, with a length of 4.37 metres, making it practical for urban and family use while providing ample space but still feeling compact.

The new Volkswagen T-Roc range will be available in three trim levels: T-Roc Life, T-Roc Style, and T-Roc R-Line.

T-Roc Life

More comfort for everyday: The T‑Roc Life combines sophisticated equipment with additional extras and clever assist systems. Pneumatically adjustable lumbar support and a rear view camera system make every journey more pleasant. The tech highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control, Front Assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring and Light Assist, guaranteeing a relaxed journey – even in dark conditions. The 32.8 cm (12.9 inch) infotainment system impresses with intuitive operation and is already prepared for later navigation.

T-Roc Style

More design meets more comfort: Enjoy high-quality extras with the T‑Roc Style such as front seats with massage function and advanced 3-zone automatic A/C, which can also be operated from the passenger compartment. The Keyless Access system makes everyday life easier, while LED Plus headlights and illuminated logos front and rear ensure a striking signature light.

T-Roc R-Line

The T‑Roc R-Line impresses with dynamic design and an active driving experience. Sport comfort seats with integrated head restraints, heated multifunction sports steering wheel in leather with paddle levers and the striking R-Line styling at the front and rear set distinctive accents. The overall impression is rounded off by diamond-turned 18-inch alloy wheels, sports running gear and a lowered vehicle body for sporty performance and more dynamic handling.

All Engines Electrified

The second generation of the T-Roc is the first Volkswagen product line whose complete drive range consists exclusively of efficient hybrid systems. One of the world’s most successful Volkswagen drive systems of this time will be offered directly at the vehicle launch: a 48 V mild hybrid (eTSI) drive with 1.5-litre turbocharged engines.

In addition, two new hybrid drives will make their debut in 2026: a 48 V mild hybrid drive with 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines (eTSI) and a completely new full hybrid system (hybrid). All three hybrid drives – the 1.5 eTSI, the 2.0 eTSI and the hybrid – will be available in two output levels.

1.5 eTSI with front-wheel drive

The first output level of the 1.5 eTSI, which is already configurable in Europe, delivers 85 kW (115 PS)1 and powers the T-Roc equipment versions Trend, Life and Style as standard. In the next-higher version, the 1.5 eTSI has an output of 110 kW (150 PS)2 . This system is the standard driving force on board the T-Roc R-Line and is available as an option for the Life and Style equipment versions. The propulsive force is transmitted to the front axle by means of an efficient seven-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG).

2.0 eTSI with all-wheel drive

The T-Roc will be the first Volkswagen to receive the new 2.0 eTSI engine in 2026. This provides a maximum output of 150 kW (204 PS)3 and was designed for the T-Roc 4MOTION with all-wheel drive. At the beginning of 2027, the second and even more powerful output variant of the 2.0 eTSI will be launched on the market in conjunction with the future T-Roc R3 . Power is transmitted to the all-wheel drive via a seven-speed DSG, as in the front-wheel drive models.
