BMW is always at the forefront of technological advancements and none more so than with the new BMW Connected app, which launched this year.

The seamless integration of user mobility via smartphone or Apple Watch lets BMW drivers unlock and lock the doors, flash the lights and even turn on the air conditioning or heating before you even enter the car.

The app also manages your appointments and gives you notifications about when you should leave, how traffic will change your route, whether you should deviate from the motorway to avoid a traffic jam and so on, aiding drivers in reaching their destinations relaxed and on time.

BMW Connect will sync with your vehicle (assuming it's a BMW running the ConnectedDrive platform). In addition to pulling in destinations and appointments from your calendar, the BMW Connected app will learn from your routines and places you search for commonly and give you travel times for those locations automatically.

Frequent and recurring spots are stored and revealed to you when the app thinks you'll want to return to them.

BMW Connected is available as a free download from the Apple App Store, and can be used in BMW vehicles with the BMW “ConnectedDrive Services” activated, a feature which became standard on all new BMW’s in January 2016.
