What are the driver requirements | You must be aged between 25 – 74 and hold a full UK driving licence |
Are all rental models able to be driven on a standard UK licence? | Yes, standard Category B licence is fine for all vehicles we offer to hire. Driver(s) must hold a full UK licence. Must have held a licence for minimum of 12 months (24 months for ID. products) |
Can you add additional drivers? | Yes at a cost of £10 per additional driver per day. Up to 3 additional drivers can be added to the booking, all drivers must be within the 25 – 74 age bracket with a full UK driving licence. |
Does pick up and collection have to be from the Clark Commercials site? | Yes, we don’t offer drop off/collection currently |
Is there secure parking at site for customer vehicles? | Yes |
What documents are needed when collecting the van? |

Can the vans be driven outside of the UK? | We do offer an add on if you want to travel to Europe for an additional charge, enquire for more info. |
Is insurance included? | Yes Our vehicles are fully insured, so should the worse happen whilst you are in one of our rental vehicles, you can call our 24/7 Driverline support phone number to get assistance. In the unfortunate event that you have an accident, the excess amount (£500) will be charged until it is confirmed whether you were at fault or not. If our insurance company find that you were not at-fault in the accident, your excess will be refunded in full. |
Can I use my own insurance? | Yes – we will need a copy of your insurance document and agree in advance of collection. |
Are animals allowed in vehicles? | No |
Do we offer any additional options or extras? | If you want to reduce your excess, you have the option to take out our enhanced Collision Damage Waiver (ECDW)*. This will reduce your excess from £1,000 to £500. – At a cost of £12.50 per day excl. VAT. For any other specific requirements, please speak to the team before making your reservation. |

What happens if the van breaks down or I'm in an accident? | The vehicles are all covered by Volkswagen Roadside Assistance; 0330 100 3242. Please then contact us once you have spoken with Volkswagen Roadside Assistance. |
Can any of the vehicles be used for towing? | No |
| Can I use the van as a courier? | No, we do not rent our vans out for multi-drop/courier use. |
| Are they any additional charges when I drop the van off? | The only time there would be any additional charge is if the van is returned in a state that requires a professional deep clean. This is charged at £70. |

What’s included in your collision damage waiver:
Break-down recovery
Available across the UK – 24/7 phone number to call for assistance for a breakdown, or an accident.
Windscreen and Glass damage
These are covered, but you will be liable for the applicable excess.
Tyre wear
This is covered under fair wear and tear, anything outside of this you will be liable for the applicable excess.
Excess
Applicable excess to pay on any new damage that is on the vehicle when you bring it back. This could be your own fault or that of a third party (somebody else damages the rental car whilst in your care). If the damage is less than your applicable excess you will just be charged for the cost of the repair, not the full excess.
