Don't forget to take...
A full UK license is valid in most European Countries but
check online first. If you don’t have a
photocard license you may be asked to produce photographic proof of ID, so we
recommend you also have your passport.
You may risk a hefty fine if you cannot produce your V5 document or a certified copy of it. If you drive a company car make sure you speak to your employer in plenty of time before your trip to get access to the document.
We would advise you take out Breakdown and Recovery insurance available from all insurers and motoring organisations.
All new BMWs come with 3 years Roadside Assistance covering you in the UK and Continental Europe and all Approved Used BMW’s come with 12 months Roadside Assistance also covering you in the UK and Continental Europe.
A vignette is a tax disc used in place of motorway tolls. You need to buy one before using motorways in Austria, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
