Nissan Europe Teaser Range

Nissan Unveils Bold New Models and Next-Gen Technologies for FY25–FY26

New models and advanced technology lead Nissan’s global product refresh

Big plans are underway for Nissan in the UK and Europe, with the launch of multiple new electrified models and technology updates over the next two years. Among the headline announcements: the third-generation LEAF, a refreshed Qashqai with upgraded e-POWER, a fully electric Micra, and an all-new electric JUKE arriving in FY26.

Third-Gen LEAF and New Qashqai e-POWER Coming Soon

Production of the all-new, British-built LEAF EV is set to begin in Sunderland later this year. Designed with sleek aerodynamics and developed on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform, the third-generation LEAF promises to attract a new wave of electric vehicle buyers. It will be built as part of the Nissan EV36Zero project – transforming Sunderland into a flagship hub for EV innovation, battery production, and renewable energy.

Meanwhile, the ever-popular Qashqai will benefit from an updated version of Nissan’s unique e-POWER technology. Offering enhanced refinement, lower emissions, and improved efficiency, this evolution of e-POWER delivers an experience that feels even closer to driving a full EV.

Micra Returns as All-Electric City Car

Also launching in 2025 is the return of a familiar name – Micra. This all-new compact electric vehicle blends bold design and urban practicality, staying true to the spirit of its predecessors. Designed at Nissan Design Europe in London, the new Micra is built on the AmpR Small platform and will be available with either a 40 or 52kWh battery, offering a range of over 248 miles. It will be produced at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, with sales expected to begin before the end of the year.

JUKE to Go Fully Electric in FY26

Looking ahead, Nissan will introduce the third generation of its JUKE crossover in FY26 – this time as a full EV. Inspired by the striking Hyper Punk concept shown at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023, the next-gen JUKE will carry forward Nissan’s bold design language into the electric era.

A Fully Electrified Line-Up for the UK and Europe

Leon Dorssers, Regional Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Nissan AMIEO, said:

"The renewal of Nissan’s European line-up is the realisation of our bold plan to electrify our range in Europe. All the new models will share Nissan’s signature qualities – striking design, technical innovation and intuitive technology – creating real appeal for both new and loyal customers alike."

David Moss, Senior Vice President, Region R&D, AMIEO, added: "We’re proud to be bringing back the Micra as a fully electric model and launching the next-gen LEAF. Alongside this, we’re evolving our e-POWER system to bring drivers even closer to a true EV driving experience – but with the flexibility of hybrid technology."

These launches underline Nissan’s strong momentum in the UK and European markets, with a clear commitment to innovation, electrification, and future-ready vehicles.
