Renault has been awarded Most Improved Manufacturer at the prestigious annual Fleet World Honours awards, following their major enhancements to their fleet operation.

The stylish Renault KADJAR also topped the 'Best Crossover' vehicle category at the prestigious ceremony held in the historic Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London. It was praised for its driving style, value for money and strong residuals.

Commenting on the judge's decision, Steve Moody, Editor, Fleet World said: “Renault has shot straight to the top of this class with the Kadjar. It’s one of the best crossovers to drive, adopting the brand’s chic new family styling and packed full of flexibility and useful technology. Add in strong residual values, joint-lowest CO2 emissions and impressive value for money, and the newcomer sets high standards for the rest of the class.”

Mark Dickens, Head of Fleet Sales and Remarketing, said: “We’re delighted to win these accolades, the Most Improved Manufacturer award recognising the significant investment we have made across all aspects of our fleet operation and the Best Crossover award reflecting the impact the stylish Kadjar has made in only a few months due to its class-leading residual values, stunning design and highly attractive all-round business package.

Factors that were instrumental in Renault taking the title of Most Improved Manufacturer included the growth of the demonstrator fleet by 57 per cent and the increase of the corporate team by a third. Another contributing factor to being awarded the title was Renault’s popular LCV range, consisting of the Kangoo small van, the all-electric Kangoo Van Z.E, the medium-sized Trafic panel van, as well as the large Master van. A comprehensive range of factory and approved LCV conversions are also available to order.

This is not the only recognition that Renault has received recently, having been awarded second and third place overall in the Auto Express Driver Power Awards 2016, its best-ever performance.

The Dacia Logan MCV also won Gold in the Family Car category, a category known for being fiercely competitive, in recognition of its reliability, running costs, practicality and in-car technology.

On the Logan MCV’s win, Brian Walters, Director, Research and Insights at Driver Power, said: “This is a fantastic showing by the Logan MCV, being the highest-rated family car in four of the 10 Driver Power judging categories: Reliability, Running Costs, Practicality, and In-Car Technology; and also amongst the top five family cars for Build Quality; Ease of Driving; Road Handling; Ride Quality; and Performance.”
Walters continued: “Nearly one-half of Driver Power respondents indicate that Reliability is the single most important of the 10 judging categories. The Logan MCV’s segment-leading ratings for Reliability is a tremendous achievement for Dacia.”
