The latest edition of the Renault Mégane Renault Sport was unveiled during the 2017 Frankfurt motor show. And when it launches later this year, it’s set to take the hot hatch segment by storm. This category has never been more competitive.
Cutting-edge technology takes centre stage on board the new Renault Mégane RS. For example, you’ll find a host of smart features like four-wheel steering, intelligent hydraulic bump stops for the suspension, and the Renault Sport Monitor system – all of which are firsts in the hot hatch field.
In the tradition of previous Renault Sport offerings, you can take your pick from standard and Trophy versions of the car. Yet the new Renault Mégane RS promises to break the mould in one key area – because it’s available with dual-clutch transmission for the very first time. That means an even smoother ride with every gear change.
Beneath the bonnet, there’s an energetic 1.8-litre turbo four-cylinder engine – which will also be found in the upcoming Alpine A110 sports car. Even the standard model produces an impressive 276bhp and 390Nm of torque – while the Trophy model products an extra 20bhp and 9.5Nm of torque.
